Hi everyone 🙂
On Friday night Inara Pey and Saffia Widdershins, the organizers for Filling The Cauldron, were kind enough to give me a tour of the event sim and I was in awe! Not only is the sim amazing but the generosity of so many just blew me away.
The event is being hosted by Holly Kai Estate, which is part of Hollywood Real Estate, and Nber Medici and MarkTwain White gave the sim for the event free of charge. The park is generally used for art exhibitions, Voice events – storytelling – and music events but the owners allowed some remodeling to be done just for the event. Feel free to explore because there is plenty to see!
The event itself is unlike most events but instead is a mix of fantasy, fashion, art, entertainment and more and honors Elicio Ember for the man he is and what he means to so many in Second Life. Throughout the event you will notice alot of green and purple which is another nod to Elicio.
I wanted to briefly tell you just some of the things you will find at the event but you can go to the Filling the Cauldron blog for more information including the what vendors you can and the schedule for all the events & activities.
The organizers invited a number of artists from all over the grid, as well as guest artists to showcase their work during the event. Some of the artists are Ali Andel(Official Fantasy Faire photographer), Sonya Marmurek (from Fantasy Faire and a lovely bunny), Caitlin Tobias (Official Fantasy Faire blogger and photographer) and all their pieces showcase a retrospective of Elicio’s builds at past Fantasy Faire events. There is also four guest artists that our showcasing work a mix of art from Fantasy Faire and images of Elicio’s designs. One of the artists, John Brianna, is offering a non Fantasy Faire painting for sale and each sale goes 100% to the event. You can learn about each artist by clicking on the name board in front of their work.

There is also an event area that will be showcasing an eclectic groups of DJs throughout the event as well as live performances from singer Lazarus Doghouse, Fantastic Tales with Seanchai Library and the Monarch Dance Troupe. For dates and times visit the schedule on the Filling the Cauldron blog.
My favorite part of the event is the Design a Garden contest! Sorry no sneak peak! It is something that you have to see! Nine designers took up the challenge of creating a garden on a 4 x 45 meter parcel featuring Elicio Ember’s plants and other creations and other designs from all over the grid. The main focus of each garden has to be Eicio’s work. and guess who gets to help choose the winner? YOU! They are asking everyone to vote for their favorite based on overall look and aesthetic, use of Elicio’s creations and how much you enjoyed exploring them. Visit the FTC blog for more information on the contest and voting.
You can enter the photo contest! All you have to do is visit Cerridwen’s Cauldron and capture some the wonderful setting of the skystore or the ground level landscape. There are prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and the winners of the contest will be 50% popular vote on Flickr and 50% by a panel of judges. For more information on the contest and prizes visit the FTC blog.
